מחקר נוסף

שתי קבוצות מנהלות רשימות פומביות של מחקרים על מסכים וילדים צעירים: Autism and Electronic Screens (autismandscreens.org) ו־GAINING, Global Alliance for Inspiring Non-tech Infant Nurturing and Growth (mybabygains.org). כל מחקר שאפשר לזהות ברשימות שלהן מצוטט בספר, ברשימת המקורות (References) או בחלק Further Research.

באוקטובר 2026 נבדקו מקורות הספר גם מול חיפוש ב־PubMed ובמאגר Crossref: מחקרים על מסכים ואוטיזם או על סימנים שדומים לאוטיזם, מחקרים על השימוש במסכים בקרב ילדים אוטיסטים, וכתיבה על הביטוי "אוטיזם וירטואלי" עצמו (זו אינה אבחנה), באנגלית ובשפות אחרות. זה ביטוי שהורים משתמשים בו, זו אינה אבחנה, וחוקרים ומבוגרים אוטיסטים רבים מתנגדים לו. מה שהחיפוש מצא מופיע בחלק Further Research של הספר; פרק 6 ונספח E מסבירים מה המחקרים העיקריים יכולים להראות ומה לא.
